The Impact fundrasing series is designed to celebrate everything that makes the SOTA education experience 
unique showcasing original multidisciplinary works in music, dance, visual arts, theatre, film and literary arts. 

Each edition of Impact draws inspiration from a Singaporean cultural icon who has made significant contributions 
to the local arts and cultural scene. 

Impact 2024 was inspired by the late Mrs Santha Bhaskar, an established dancer, choreographer, and educator in 
classical Indian dance. A prominent figure in Singapore’s cultural landscape, Mdm Bhaskar’s life and works symbolise 
the power of art to transcend boundaries and enrich society, leaving an indelible mark on Singapore’s vibrant and cultural scene. 

I was honoured to be called back to direct the opening video, as well as the interview with Mdm Bhaskar’s granddaughter. 

Both videos were screened during the show.

This video was to provide some background information of the show, excite and engage the audience prior 
to the start of the show by highlighting the significance of Impact 2024 and Mrs Bhaskar through interviews 
and behind-the-scenes (BTS) footage.

  • of legacy and continuity, creating an emotional conclusion with a focus on personal story.
